Letter of Credit Case Studies

Commercial Loans | Trade Finance Letter of Credit Case Studies

International trade finance is a specialist commercial loan area. We have arranged many Letters of Credit for our UK customers, here are just a couple of case studies.

Letters of Credit are used by importers to buy goods, usually from overseas countries, but not necessarily.

  • A start up company wishing to import home electronics equipment required a Letter of Credit for £200k. We quickly identified an appropriate issuer enabling them to secure their initial supplies.
  • A company approached us requiring a Letter of Credit when their bank declined their request. We were able to successfully arrange a Letter of Credit for £600k based purely on the merit of the transaction itself.
  • A UK importer of "eco friendly" air conditioning units made to their own specification, were looking to expand, but were being held back by having to use their own funds. We set up funding by combining a letter of credit and factoring facility for pre sold products to give our customer the working capital needed grow their business.
